The Summer Programs at San Diego’s California Ballet School are designed to compliment students’ training received during the regular school year. The 2019 Summer Programs are divided into two levels, Intermediate and Beginning.
The Beginning Summer Dance Camp Program is for students ages 5-9 with two or fewer years of prior dance training. These one-week sessions include ballet classes and supplemental lessons in tap and jazz. Each week is themed and the students participate in creating dances and crafts based on that weeks’ theme. Each week concludes with an in-studio performance for family and friends.
The Intermediate Summer Program is for students ages 9-14 with three or more years of prior ballet training and up to two years of pointe experience. The Intermediate Students will participate in a variety of classes, including ballet, variations, jazz and modern. Each week will include an in-studio performance to showcase the students’ progress.
